    About This Service

Your name, your ideas, someone else’s hours at the keyboard

Ghostwriting is an old and respectable craft. The process begins with interviews, recorded and transcribed, in which the writer learns how you think and speak. Together you agree a chapter outline, and the writer drafts one section at a time so you can steer before too much has been written.
Because it is your book, the contract matters. Copyright passes to you on payment, confidentiality is agreed in writing, and credit is your choice: none, an acknowledgement or an “as told to” line. Most books of around 60,000 words take between four and six months.

    What Our Authors Say

    Rated 5 out of 5
They told me my second chapter was doing the work of my fourth, and they were right. The finished book reads far more cleanly.

I had never worked with an editor and was nervous about losing my voice. The notes were sharp but never took the book away from me.

Cover, layout and the Amazon set-up were all handled by one team, which saved me weeks of chasing. Files arrived when they said they would.

    FAQs

    Ghostwriting & Manuscript Writing FAQs

Yes. Autobiographies of public figures, business books and memoirs have long been written with professional help. The ideas and experiences are the author’s, and the writer supplies skill and time.
That is the writer’s main job. We study your recorded speech and any earlier writing, and a sample chapter tests the voice before the rest is written.
You do. A written agreement assigns copyright to you on payment, and the writer keeps no rights to the text.
Only if you wish. Options include no credit, a mention in the acknowledgements, or a cover line such as “with” or “as told to”.
A 60,000-word book usually takes four to six months, depending on how quickly you can give interviews and feedback.
Plan for several hours of interviews for each chapter’s worth of material, plus time to read and comment on drafts. Busy authors often block out an hour a week.
Yes, though fiction is more demanding because it starts from ideas rather than from your life or expertise. We discuss in advance what the writer will need from you.
That is why we draft a sample chapter first. We adjust voice and approach before writing further, and revision rounds are set out in your quote.
